WWE Raw Review: 8-17-2009

United States Championship Match – Kofi Kingston def. Carlito with Rosa Mendez by Pinfall

Your winner and still United States Champion is Kofi Kingston. Great match. Carlito dominated most of the match but that was not enough to defeat Kingston. Even though Rosa was with Carlito but she was a nonfactor in the match. I would not mind seeing this match up again in the future. Does Kingston have an opponent for Summerslam yet?

Overall Match Grade: B

The Miz def. Evan Bourne by Pinfall

I guess The Miz will be the next opponent for Kingston’s title. The Miz is so overrated but I got to admit he had a good match with Bourne. I love Bourne’s high flying moves its just too bad its not his time right now for that big push he was getting before he got injured awhile back.

Overall Match Grade: B-

Divas Championship Match – Mickie James def. Gail Kim by Pinfall

Horrible ending to this match you can clearly tell that Mickie’s finisher was messed plus she also missed the kick right after that. I was thinking that this match could be a future match for the next pay per view or at least Summerslam. It was a pretty good match until the end.

Overall Match Grade: C

MVP def. Jack Swagger by Disqualification

You call that a match!!! I’m pretty sure they are going to face each other at Summerslam if the match has not been booked already. This is going to be a good match up.

Pinfalls Count Anywhere Match – Hornwoggle def. Chavo Guerrero by Pinfall

Funny match….not even a wrestling match more of a recreation of Home Alone! Macauly Culkin was even there. I was slightly entertained.

Overall Match Grade: D

Lumberjack Match – John Cena and Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho and Big Show by pinfall

It seemed like a short decent match nothing interesting to review on.

Overall Match Grade: C

RAW Overall

Aww yeah!!! Its’ good to see Degeneration X back! But, I wish they could either have the rest of the old members back which I know is not going to happen or recruit 2-3 more new members. Seeing Freddie Prinze get his ass kicked was nice lol hahahaha at least we don’t have to watch a possible boring guest host again like the last couple of weeks.

Overall Show Grade: B
